The path to God

3 min read
In the Gospel of John that defines the Christian faith chapter 3 verse 16, states. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son; that whosoever believes in him, shall not perish, but may have life everlasting. Fourteen generations after the fall of Israel to Babylon, was Jesus the Christ born of a virgin, as foretold by the Angel Gabriel to Mary and Joeeph. Fortold also was the birth of John the Baptist by the same holy messenger, unto Zacharias, and Elizabeth; how she would conceive John in her old age. There is a detailed description of this in the Gospel of Luke read the first chapter. There are many references pointing to the coming of Christ in the old testament of the Bible, Zechariah chapter 12, verse 10; also Isaiah chapter 7 verses14-15 and 16. Look to Isaiah chapter 53 verses 1 through 12, is the defining prophecy of the Christ, hundreds of years before his birth. Jesus the Christ freely of his own will came into this world, to be a holy sacrifice for the remission of our sins. And by our of our own free will believing in his resurrection after the third day; we become one in the resurrection unto life. Also turning away from our fear and desires turning away from worldly or ungodly endeavors freely entering into the baptism by water than after the Holy Ghost. We take on the grace of our of God; also by the daily study of the Holy Bible and by our meditations of such things, for this the study guide that brings strength to the spirit For it is not by our strength that we turn from our base desire and fears, but by the grace given by the spirit of God. The Creator is aware of all that you need so daily give prayers of thanks and praise, and consideration for the poor and sick among you, also let you faith show good works in ministering unto same sick and  poor. I am as you a bass man whos fear and desire has ruled over my life for many years, for many times I denied The Lord Jesus for this I'm ashamed. On the Earth the kingdom of Heaven dwells in the heart and it is at hand. For the Kingdom of God and his Chist that is in the Heavens is drawing near, and it is out of thr realm of the imaginations of man. I am but an unworthy servant of the most High God Jesus Christ.

Over the years of my life I have pondered over what the meaning of true power really is, before I had any command of language, as I recall, it was the power of love. As I grew older and learned how to speak I learned the awful truth of what I thought power really was, the darkness of an unstoppable impending death. This knowledge that I learned of at a very early age was a horrible blow to my conscious mind, in my mind, before I learned this; I thought everything went on forever. Note to the reader I can recall events as far back as two years old, most folks can't remember learning about death, search your thoughts can you remember. This knowledge ripped through my emotions, and darkened my outlook about everything. After learning of this the peace of my true love with the eternal earth, and my family were lost in the increments of time; learning about this grim Specter as time dragged on brought dark nightmares to my sleep. After six years of life I became a child of torment, haunted by nightmares by night; and lucid dreams by day. What was hidden to me at that time was one of the true powers that brought me to the knowledge of death, and that power is the power of language. Once language is learned the mind starts to memorize and categorize everything it sees, in the form of labeling the endless objects it encounters. We are in the primal state until we begin to use language, like an animal we experience hunger, cold thirst; as a baby we live completely in the eternal moment with no concept of the limitations of time. Until we begin to communicate in complex variables of language enough to form concepts of belief, we will not be lifted out of the primal state, and into the darkness. The goal of every sage, sorcerer or seer is to reenter the primal mind; this is called the silent knowledge, intuition will be developed if one can manage to stay in this state of wellbeing long enough. Let us look at knowledge, they say it is power; first there is language, than there is belief in preconceived ideas or traditional beliefs handed down over eons of time. These traditional beliefs change like shifting sands as information is added or taken away from them. After belief comes the concept of faith, this is where action is applied to belief; this brings the unshakable knowledge that ones beliefs are real. After this comes the manifestations of knowledge, this is where the belief takes tangible shape in the real world. So language is a higher form of power, when used in the dynamic group consciousness it can build civilizations, it can cause wars; and build weapons that can destroy most of the human life on this planet. This is the power of the spoken word. After all is said and done language is the art of explanation, we lose the silent knowledge when we begin to speak; in the end it is language that points the way back to the primal state of silent knowledge. By the time we begin to speak our conceptualization of how we see our immediate surroundings is influenced by our handlers, family members; teachers, friends anyone who has a greater command of language. This is the point where we learn the concepts of ownership, traditional beliefs are formed; and the core personality takes shape. It is also where intent is born, now intent is very important because this is the energy of our consciousness on a very deep level, focusing on our deepest desire. In the Tao we read that if the one takes focus on the manifestations of the ten thousand things, the one may become forever lost. It also reads that all things are one within the Tao, we are but tiny pieces in the infinite puzzle; all things are born from it, and all things return to it, this is the mystery; and the Tao is where the fire of our intent needs to be placed. Think about it this way the source of all things Tao, or God or whatever you wish to label or name this great mystery is the power that is generating all manifestations of creation. The ones who handled us from an early age teach us to place our intent on the manifestations, and abandon our focus or intention on the mystery within us; and the mystery that surrounds us, the unseen creative force of the Tao. So now we see a new power coming into view the power of intention, intent is just another example of what is called the will. Intention is the motivation and design behind everything we are and do. Intent has great power. At a very early age we are taught to desire things, such as toys food, friends anything that we want this is where the concept of ownership is formed. At the same time we are taught that if we do not protect or take good care of the things we own, we will be failures in everything we do. So our intent becomes based in fear and desire early in childhood. So the majority of modern civilization in this day and age have their intent focused on the manifestations of the materialistic side of human affairs. The old adage is true, what does it profit a man if he gains the entire world but lose his soul; if ones intent is drawn out into the materialistic, than one does not own the things; no the things will own the one. The intent is poured out willingly by the owner, and the owner by possessing greater amounts of things believes he is becoming increasingly more powerful. What he does not realize is that he is on the treadmill of the ever increasing merry-go-round of the stress of ownership. By placing ones energies on inanimate objects to gain an imaginary power that only exist in the mind, the one begins to weaken the life force within themselves. The things they own become vampires, these objects will ever demand our attention they will be a source of haunting concerns that follow us even into our dreams. The concerns over obtaining, and maintaining the illusion of material wealth causes mental illness, massive debt, high blood pressure heart disease; and early death. So why do we do it, because we are trained to, like the generations that came before us, we mimic those who handed our table of perception down to us. The Buddha called this, the circle of life and Death; he believed that the circle could be undone. This plain of existence is the realm of eternal suffering, it is this way because we are trained and practice the knowledge of fear and desire; adding intent just adds fuel to the fire. We live than die we come back and start over again, we don't remember the past life those memories are absorbed by the Tao. We begin again as a being with silent knowledge from birth, than we start once again to mimic those who handle us, and once again we are taught the way of fear and desire. The silent knowledge fades from us, and again we become anchored in the false power of our intentions flowing into ownership of the ten thousand things. Language separates us from the silent knowledge, it is the preoccupation with language that diverts our attention away from the natural world, and sets the mind on tasking the concerns of the management of material objects. From birth the knowledge of silence is our inheritance, from the magnificence of the Tao; the source of all we know and see. This inherent knowledge is experienced in the form of emotional state's of body and mind, for example when one feels love for someone for just a brief moments time the mind will be overwhelmed by clarity. This is the silence I am writing about, if one can maintain this state of happiness; the one has found the silent knowledge. The feeling seems to always expire in a short time, I will tell you why this happens; the intellectual mind overrides the feeling, setting the one back to tasking the world of inanimate objects. One must practice love and happiness to overcome the fear and desire thinking of the intellectual mind, it can be just that simple. What separates us from the power of love, the first answer that comes to mind is feelings of hurt and loss, usually when something or someone is taken from us, than anger is born, there can be no love in the consistent state of anger. By living out the teachings of fear and desire one will be exposed to experiences that will develop loss and disappointment, the results can be anger and depending on the amount of loss and hurt: rage than can enter the emotional state. I myself lived in a perpetual state of low anger that would ignite into rage at any signs of disrespect. As I became older and I became plagued with heart conditions I noticed that I could not fly into a rage anymore, if I did I would have severe chest pains. When I was young I was exposed to the peace movement in the sixties, in those times I learned some basis techniques of meditation, so I began an on and off practice of meditation to calm down my emotions. Later in life I was in my mid fifty's, and at that time I still had ongoing problems with substance abuse, in the past I would self medicate to kill the emotional pain that never ceased. Meditation as I have written has been off and on with me, in the not to distant past I would become easily discouraged and give up, than in two thousand and twelve I moved into a sober house and started up again; this time keeping a journal. Of course I over complicated things being the intellectual that I imagined myself to be, I read all the right books completed an anger management course, even did the assertive behavioral course. Still after meditation I would lose my state of peace and go back to my low dark state of anger. I noticed that I was finding it hard to make room in my day to day activities for a half hour of meditation, I had plenty of time a private room in the house so what was my problem. So I began to meditate and observe my behavior, what I noticed was I would feel anxiety when I would think about meditation, it was as if my mind was sending me fear signals. This caused me to believe that the mind and body became set in their routines just like repetitive muscle memory, after years of conditioning I kept pointing my intention in the opposite direction I wished it to go; away from the noisy mind to the silent knowledge. Unless the Tao reaches down and gives one this gift in one permanent blow, the conditioned mind of fear and desire will put up some form of resistance to change. When I was younger I wanted peace in my life, I experienced a profound state of peace during meditation, it only was once and lasted but a moment I could never forget the intensity of it. I was meditating on an oak tree right outside an open window, out of nowhere came a powerful peace centralized in my heart; it pumped like blood to every part of my being, than it was gone, as quickly as it came. After I had experienced that I made efforts to regain that feeling, it was to no avail, I felt as though something was buried deep inside me, something wonderful; than suddenly lost and forgotten. Nirvana is short lived at least the joy of it, the secret of nirvana is this, it plants a seed that flowers over many years. I was not twenty years of age in those days, and felt a great sense of loss over a great many things at that time, so I was not in a tip top state of mind. It is a fact that in the service I had grand illusions about my identity after taking something made from a cactus, and other powerful potions that causes one to peer beyond the veil of this plain of existence. So I was sent and spent quite a bit of time in VA hospitals, because apparently I was having issues being caught in two plains of existence at once, of course this looked very much like mental illness. Now because I was not really mentally ill the medicines of the early seventies had horrible effects on me, so after a few years of this nonsense I gave up taking all medications. About this time in my life, I felt there were dark entity's, in people, and in the form of spirits struggling to take me over, there was just one problem I would not let them, sounds crazy right. In my minds eye I keep going back to the meditation that night at the oak tree, after that night the torment from the darkness became horrible. At the same time from deep inside me of me were emerging profound truths, they would flash then the feeling faded; I did not journal anything, I could barely write a paragraph in those days. So in retrospect this silent knowledge was not given any attention, and my conscious mind could not seem remember it. Later in life I abandon my belief in demonology I began looking at the events of my life from a psychological point of view. Was my mind playing tricks on me, my experiences that lasted about three years could have all been an illusion of my subconscious mind. I looked back and reexamined what was the root causes of the events that had troubled me so much. Before these events occurred for about a year I was using hallucinogenic drugs, some of these were experimental and made to enhance the powers of telepathy. I was also socializing with people who were interested in telepathy, and the application of telepathy in the form of memory retrieval, they were also interested in a great many more psychic abilities. I remember at this time I was staying awake for long periods of time, and that the lucid dreaming started up again, I had experienced this before when I was very young. So if I thought I was making something happen, for example stopping time; it would actually happen, not in real time, but within the sleep walking lucid dream it was perfectly real to me and my companions. This is an unbelievable scenario for the ordinary mind to comprehend, so I would ask the reader to look at what I am describing as a person in a high state of awareness, at the same time sleep walking. Example in Tempe AZ. in the early seventies me and a few companions were in a mystical state of mind, I lead the three of us into a Spanish street bar; just inside the entrance I felt a surge of power rising up from my stomach. I felt as though I was frozen, the people in the bar were also perfectly frozen almost as if time had stopped, than a voice directly behind me, who happened to be my spiritual teacher; said in a whisper, release them. The trance dropped away everyone in the bar came back to life, the noise and music returned, it was as if something turned on the power grid of time, no one but us had any idea of what had just occurred. But did it really happen? Our overblown ego would like us to believe that one has the power to stop the wheels of the universe from turning, in order to be one with power one must submit to the rules of power. Rule number one there is only absolute power in the in the time of absolute need. Any imaginary power outside of this rule is hollow trickery. Imaginary power is based in the early formation of fear and desire thinking. If the core personality; or Ego, in a young person is groomed to believe that power is based in material objects, depending on the excesses of the personality, and the extremes of their teachings. Anyone who is taught in such a way could end up on the never ending quest for imaginary power by proxy of material objects. The root fear of man is death, the mindset desire of humanity is immortality, whether we remember the first time we fully understood these concepts does not matter. What does matter is the power these two taught concepts have over the early shaping of our personalities, or egos. Our fear of death is picked up early in childhood we begin to learn of the thousands of ways one can fall prey to the Grimm Reaper, the great fear of death. The personality, or Ego will produce behaviors that point to more or less, the taught concepts of procreation; sex and the gathering of material objects, this diverts the attention temporarily away from the fear of death. In other words in the western mind set subconsciously people are involved in trying to buy immortality, desire. There are not many of us who embrace death. Most of these behaviors are learned at a very early age we are not aware that they even exist because we don't remember learning about them. Being aware of these subroutines at work in us can awaken dynamic change, we can look at life and death from a different point of view. Sadly these behaviors will rule vast numbers until death. This fear and desire thinking commonly wares a mask in our western mindset, it is called the knowledge of good and evil, it is called yin and yang in the Chinese culture, I tend to ally closer to the yin and yang point of view. In Taoism it is the circle of life and Death everything comes from the Tao and all things return to it, so life and Death does not matter it is the actions we take in the journey between life and Death. These concepts are reinforced by observations we experience in our table of perception, duality is everywhere; it seems opposites spark our creative minds. Which came first the Chicken or the egg, both come from something unseen; the invisible silent world of power. Power comes from two opposing forces coming together as one, when cold dry air meets warm moist air we see thunderstorms, this form of power is not so silent; still it is not language. If one becomes a keen observer of the natural world the one will start to understand the massive power of the ever turning universe. Most cannot find thirty minutes out of their busy day too consider such things even exist, for all of us, including myself; are on the road to bigger and better things. I don't believe there are many people in the world that have completely cut themselves free from language, I am sure there are a few that are hidden among us that have entered the world of power. I myself over the years have only seen briefly into the mysterious world of power, it is from those experiences; and my present relationship with the spirit that I write from. Yes the spirit still reminds me of my writing duties, and calls me to silent meditation, and there are times I fail at my devotional duties, I am human. I have had periods of time when the Tao was helping me with maintaining silence, this was only for purpose; as I have written power is given only in the time of need. In the world of language power is not based on need, power is based on want of the immediate desire of the ego and body. Language is the categorization and memorization of what we see and do it is the art of explanation so that we can translate our experiences to. Eons ago this is how language began, as art on the walls of caves, the Cro Mangnons categorized their hunting practices in this manner. Than something happened there was a massive evolution of something in our DNA, in the stead of grunting and drawing stick figures on the walls of cave walls. Our ancestors suddenly began speaking one too another in the form of complex languages, not only that they were writing in different forms of hieroglyphics. The power of speaking, and writing brought us out of the stone age, setting us on the pathways of civilization. Great empires suddenly arose only because we could communicate effectively with each other, man learned to barter and trade; and effectively record everything they were doing. Petroglyphs became hieroglyphics, than alphabetical forms emerged to become the primary form of the translation of language. Yes one can see that language holds a great and mysterious power over the affairs of humanity, but does this power divert our attention away from the hidden silent knowledge, a knowledge based on how we feel; not on how we think. One of the primal instincts realizations we are born with is hunger, when we are comforted by our handlers, in the form of food; as a baby we bond to them, a sense of wellbeing is formed here, this develops into love. Where things go wrong is when a child is not cared for properly, the child does not have a bonding experience with the parents, therefore developing little sense of comfort or loving feelings. Understand fear desire, and love are all primal state's of emotions, even before a child learns language, those children who have been given proper attention from birth will experience a more balanced life. Note to the reader, there are exceptions to this, any behavior can drastically change in a very short period of time; due to traumatic events. Fear love, even desire, are all primal feelings; all animals are motivated by them, but in the case of the imagination of the human mind; we see a painted desert of the shifting sands of traditional beliefs clouded in language. The imagination of the human mind thinks in terms overcome consumption.

In life we wait, it seems for everything; and the waiting is very difficult to manage, but if people could manage their wait time their stress level would go down, and the small world would grow larger. It could be as simple as bringing a good book to a Doctors office, for me I use meditation; I also read books during down times. What is most important is to practice every opportunity to exercise the art of patience. There is an old adage that my mother, and her mother would repeat to me many times, the adage is patience is a virtue. It took me fifty eighth years to shut my mouth and pay attention to what the art of patience, could do for me. In my stumbling along through life I came upon the Tao, and from this great teaching I learned that patience was one of the three treasures, I learned that patience could lead me to the silent knowledge. Look at it this way, most of us do not like waiting for long periods of time, I know I don't; not long ago I would get very upset at even the thought of having to wait for the outcome of anything. A few years ago I was forced to change my emotional response to events because of a worsening heart condition. I was studying the Tao at that time and came across the verse about the three treasures, the first was simplicity; the second was patience, and the third was compassion. I remembered and old bible verse at that time, the first shall become the last, and the last shall become the first. I knew the spirit was showing me that patience was the pivot point of the three treasures, and the other two developed out of patience. We may live countless lifetimes to reach a form of mastery of this magnificent virtue, so see every event good or bad as another opportunity to exercise the art of patience.

Once we as children become proficient in the art of language as children we start to see the world around us grow larger in leaps and bounds, now I will add the element of what I will call the handlers from the time we are born they hold great power over our lives. These are those who would be our teachers, in the beginning these teachers consist of our mothers and fathers; or anyone in the family who is older and more proficient in dialectics, until we learn the art of the false use of language we view these handlers as God like; we begin to love, than fear them. These handlers teach us the preconceived ideas that were taught to them by those who handled them, their mothers and fathers; teachers friends, and so on. These preconceived ideas or concepts have been handed down over eons of time, these concepts change and shift as things are added or taken from these theories of living; again these are preconceived ideas that the handlers call traditional beliefs. Questioning these traditional beliefs is not encouraged, and many times if these traditions are questioned they are meant with harsh punishment; by the handlers. This is the point in life where love and fear of our handlers is formed. Language is the naming of everything, as we stand in the moonlight we look up and point at it; we tell ourselves this is the moon. This is our conceptualization of the experience, naming within itself is not the fullness of the experience. Spiritual conceptualization of experience does not work very well through language this is because the profile of the spirit or Tao is that of silence, to experience spirit one needs to develop the silent mind. It is very difficult to focus on silence with so much noise bombarding our minds we also are overly involved in the use of dialectics. When we speak our spirit is escaping especially if the one who is speaking is involved in useless speech. In order to be one in the spirit the one must practice non use of language for long periods of time, words hold great power; to live in the world of this present day and time we must use language. It is important to know the proper way to use language, we must view the world as it is in the present tense then we can speak of events in the present tense. This can be difficult to do because everyone likes to speak in terms of the past or future tense, past and future tenses are grey areas when we speak in these terms we cannot be fully honest; we do not have a clear view of these concepts. We must also come to the realization that what I'm writing about are concepts ingrained in the imagination of the human mind. Concepts are formulated ideas created in the imagination of the human mind, these concepts become theories that in the passing of time a great many people will view as an absolute truth; such as the big bang theory. This idea came from one person now in this present day over a billion people believe this is how the universe was formed, personally I don't know how the universe was formed; and it's okay not to know, better not to know than to pretend to know. It is the pretense of knowledge that is the causation of confusion in the world, concepts warring against concepts. it is only in the silent realm of the Tao where one finds freedom from pretense. The Secret of stalking the spirit of silence is to find the time when the world of man is most inactive, for myself l find this alignment with silence to be from three thirty to five thirty in the morning. Before the world wakes up it is most silent and a large number of people are deeply asleep, I retire early so that I can rise at this hour, for it is at this hour that my mind has a powerful link to my subconscious, there are other deeper dynamics of my experience that occur during these hours I can't go into. It is my suggestion that at these hours meditation can be a much deeper experience, there is of course no set way; this is how I like to meditate, others may find a different path. The other Secret of stalking the spirit or Tao is to witness how this magnificent force of creation changes things constantly in the present moment. This calls for a form of observation of the natural world, when one shifts the attention to the natural world; in time the one will develop a sense of awe and wonder, even in the smallest of creatures. We begin to notice that we are beginning to see everything ever changing on the subatomic level, our bodies may be limited, on the other hand the spirit is linked directly to infinite power of the Tao. It is the will of the Tao that we as human beings live in accordance within its natural rhythms. if a critical mass of humanity becomes prevalent in our world, who are in alignment with the way, things will change. This is how it will happen a small and powerful group of practitioners will grow like wild fire, because their alignment with the silent realm of the Tao will be so unshakable; their presence of peace will be undeniable. In time this will happen, we as human beings will grow sick of the sickness known as war; than humanity will reach its potential we as human beings will share all things without the burden of greed. How do I know this to be I look inside my silence and see.

The present tense is something learned after practicing meditation for some time, I would describe it as being mindful of the singularity of the moment one is in. First One must learn the concept of present tense mindfulness it is where a person learns the benefit of not focusing on the future or dwelling on the past, so go'es the saying one day at a time. In Meditation One trains the mind into clarity to still the emotions letting go of the past and the future, one finds the singular moment of the present tense, so ensues a transcendendal state of consciousness, in this state one is in touch with a deeper inner peace, this peace becomes very important to those who practice meditation. There is even more, within us and outside of us there is a unified field of energy, I call it Chi I have a great faith in the Chi because it has amazing power. Through Meditation and present tense mindfulness one opens his or herself up to the power of the Chi there is nothing that can be said about what it is like to surrender to such a magnificent power and have it course through your body like fire, taking away the pain. Lets examine how the mind thinks about the future, and the past, this is just how I see things so im not telling anyone to think as I think, I believe the future and the past are simply put just concepts of the human imagination, they do not dwell here with us in the present tense. Yet the mind go'es back and forth looking for answers in something that has no foundations in reality or truth! If people are thinking with a healthy mind they are just a little ahead and a little behind, trying to set up what is to come on the cell phone, or updating facebook, or smooth over any recent mistakes verbal or other wise in the near past. Most folks who think like this can get their mind on the present tense because they are not far from it, they dont have problems at work day dreaming when they need to focus they can. These people have not had unpleasant events in their lives their conscious foundations are supportive. It is important to consider this concept, the future is shaped in the present tense; a more refined view of the present tense can clarify ones sense of direction. Now lets take a personality that has no supportive foundations to the point the they have post tramatic stress, this person mind would race far back into it's past dwelling on a unpleasant event or events, these types of personalitys can have nightmares waking dreams called Lucid dreams where the person feels what he is seeing is real. They can relive their past over and over their mind being far from the present tense, a lot of these folks do get help and can get back to day to day living, but in the extreme, most cases can lose their hold on reality. Memorys are as dead things we must look at them as passing as we shall also pass in time, like the ash of burnt wood the invisable wind of the Chi blows these shadows of the mind away, if we so let it pass, so let the Chi take them from you. Life is to short to hold on to pain and hurt. Meditation is all about the art of letting things pass not to have an emotional attachment to things or events that are out of your range of control. Detachment from unimportant events and things helps one to look inward shifting the attention to the transcendental state of mind, as meditation is practised more frequently this state of stillness and peace comes faster untill this conscious state is there most of the time the mind still drifts from time to time. Remember Clarity of mind Stabilization of emotions, than Present Tense Thinking, these three foundations of meditation open up the transcendendal state of mind, this state of mind is a invitation for the Chi to ally with us, and a powerful ally it is. With the Chi we are not alone we become part of a larger consciousness that reaches out across the universe, the Chi can make the unknowable known. There is no limit to it's power only the limit you put on it. Meditation is a simple practice one just has to make a little time each day, the effort that is made can greatly reduce stress bringing peace into the mind and emotions, one may not be able to change the world, but you can change the way you feel and think.

Third Dynamic The Present Tense
To begin a meaningful practice of meditation one simply has to breath in the Chi from the center of their being then exhale the negative in submission to the Chi, the idea is to keep your mind on breathing focus on breath nothing more. Start with sort periods of time at first but the practice must take place each day.
